Overview
Tallysman’s TW4421 is an inexpensive wideband dual-feed GLONASS/GPS antenna that covers the GLONASS L1, GPS L1, and SBAS (i.e. EGNOS/MSAS/WAAS) 1575 to 1606 MHz frequency bands. Its advanced patch element (25mm dual-feed wideband) offers outstanding multipath rejection.
The unit provides high linear carrier phase response over the entire frequency bandwidth due to a greatly improved axial ratio. Thus, it is particularly appropriate for high precision applications. Out-of-band signal rejection is also excellent.
The patch element’s dual feeds are added together in a 90-degree hybrid unit and then transmitted to a first-stage low noise amplifier. This is followed by two more stages: mid-section SAW and low-noise gain.
There is no smaller high-performance, dual-feed antenna on the market. Its IP67 compact plastic housing contains a magnetic mount. Various cable lengths and connector options are available.
Applications include security, cost-sensitive mission-critical positioning, military and covert surveillance.
